Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC is revised to the new Machinery Regulation
Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC was under revision and shall be replaced with new Machinery Regulation.
The new regulation is publiched in June 2023. With the transition period of 3,5 years, the new Machinery Regulation shall apply from January 2027.
The new standard for furnaces and thermo-processing equipment EN ISO 13577-2 shall replace EN 746-2
EN 746-2 standard for thermoprocessing equipment is implemented in Danish legislation with the Gas regulation BEK no. 247. This standard shall be exchanged during 2023 with the new standard EN ISO 13577-2. The standard shall be harmonized in the nearest future under Machinery Directive.
The new version of Functional Safety standards for machinery EN ISO 13849-1 & IEC 62061
Functional Safety standards for machines are under revision. While the new edition of EN IEC 62061:2021 is already harmonized under Machinery Directive, the new EN ISO 13849-1:2023 is expected to be ready during 2023. Both standards have plenty of novelties including new and more strict software requirements, cyber security, and SRS.
