Low Voltage Directive – LVD
Low Voltage Directive – LVD 2014/35EU defines safety requirements for electrical equipment intended for use at a rated voltage between 50 and 1000 VAC and between 75 and 1500 VDC.
Everyone who manufactures, imports, or- in their own name – puts equipment on the market or uses electric material in this voltage area should read and understand what the directive requires.
Products covered by the Low Voltage Directive are e.g., various household appliances; light chains, electronic devices, lamps, audio, video, and similar electronic devices, but also low-voltage switchboards and control panels.
If you have a product within the scope of LVD you can contact us. We will assist and advise you also if your product needs third-party or Notified Body verification.
